Mother's Day amid the pandemic

What consumer behavior looks like this year, given the scenario we're living in

Mother's Day is one of the most important dates in the country, coming right after Christmas and Valentine's Day. But the burning question is: how will consumers react to this date in the midst of a pandemic?

Grupo Globo's Market Intelligence team conducted a study to answer this question. 892 people were surveyed, distributed by class, region, gender, and age group.

An interesting number stands out: 69% of people plan to celebrate the date this year, despite social distancing. Even among those who won't celebrate (31%), 63% say they'll still give their mothers a gift.
