On Tuesday (29), Snapchat introduced users to new changes in the app. One of the big novelties is Chat 2.0, which allows sending audio and video messages in the chat, offers sticker options, and enables video calls. Could this be an attempt to take Whatsapp's place?

The chat interface gained a specific button for sending stickers, and on top of that, the update included support for sending video and audio notes. To record, just hold the button and record for up to 10 seconds. The videos work like GIFs and play on a loop.
Video calls were already available before, but they depended on both users being connected at the same time. In the new update, you'll be able to call your friends anytime!
Another change, simple yet significant, was in the Stories tab. Once you finish watching one user's story, another person's will start automatically. This is a strategy to increase the number of views.
Snapchat is one of the most used apps by Brazilians on smartphones. To get an idea of the app's scale, more than 8 million videos are watched in a single day, with over 100 million active users. These changes will positively affect these numbers and attract even more users to the network. If your brand wants to get closer to consumers, why not invest in Snap?
