In August 2018, Facebook launched Watch – a video discovery platform whose main goal is to support content creators, with the Ad Breaks and Creator Studio features.
While Ad Breaks aims to generate more revenue for videos on Facebook through commercial breaks, Creator Studio allows publishers to manage their productions and interact with fans, tracking content performance across all pages.
And there's more! According to Recode, besides having its own content, Watch will also stream live sports games, such as those from the top baseball competition in the US, Major League Baseball.
Speaking of which, YouTube's website recently went down for over 1 hour in several parts of the world. Without revealing a reason for the incident, YouTube posted the following message:
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we'll keep you updated.”
Now, with the availability of a new video platform from Facebook, you have one more place to enjoy your favorite content!
