What used to be available only for profiles with 10k followers or more is now being tested for the entire community.
Instagram's user community doesn't just live on hard days! Relief has arrived! The long-awaited “swipe up” feature is currently being tested with a small group of users and should soon be rolled out to everyone.
So what's the catch? There are two small differences. Instead of having the “swipe up” button, you'll use a sticker that lets you link to the desired address. Anyone who wants to be redirected just needs to click on the sticker. The other difference is that, unlike Stories with “swipe up”, which can't be replied to, Stories with the link sticker can be replied to, which will generate more interactions.

For now, the new feature is in testing phase on some accounts. The platform is expected to keep an eye on which links are shared to prevent potential malicious uses like spam, scams, misinformation spreading, or hate speech.
“Oh, so will links also come to Feed post captions now?” Don't get your hopes up: Facebook Group, the platform's owner, has announced there are no plans for that to happen. For now, external sites can only be referenced through the link in the profile bio and, soon, in Stories.
