Microsoft bought the professional networking site for nothing less than $26 billion. An amount that seems high, but, if we think about it, it's an acquisition that brings far more user information than the purchase of WhatsApp, for instance. Not to mention that the social network has 433 million people worldwide and around 105 million visits per month, and it keeps growing.
But what changes can we expect after the purchase? Definitely integration with other Microsoft tools. LinkedIn's CEO, Jeff Weiner, mentioned examples that are likely to become reality, such as integrating Outlook, Skype, Calendar, Office and other programs with the network, which will certainly make the user experience much better. But it's also expected that there will be changes in advertising.
