Brands lose engagement by not investing in Facebook videos

It's increasingly common to watch and/or share videos on Facebook, isn't it? This format has the highest share rates on Mark Zuckerberg's social network, since the site's algorithm is favoring audiovisual posts, in addition to the autoplay feature, which tends to catch people's attention.

According to the study “Mídias Sociais 360°”, the 100 Brazilian companies with the most presence on Facebook still haven't adapted to this new trend. The survey, conducted every three months, was developed by the Núcleo de Inovação em Mídia Digital (NiMD), of Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP), in partnership with Socialbakers, a world leader in social media performance solutions.

Check out the survey results:

– “Brands and Institutional” pages: more than 70% of posts are images.

– “Media and News” pages: more than 70% are posts with links directing to a website.

– “Entertainment” pages: have the most video posts, accounting for about 25% of posts.
