You can choose who can reply to your tweet
In May, Twitter started testing a new feature that makes it possible to limit the number of people who can reply to a tweet. Last month, more precisely on August 11, the social network officially launched some new conversation settings, along with this previously tested tool.
With this, anyone will be able to use these settings to block those unwanted replies that disrupt meaningful conversations. There are three options:
- Anyone (default);
- People you follow;
- Only people you mention.

If you choose this option or one of the last two, the tweets will display a notice and the reply icon in gray, making it clear to those who can't reply.
Those who aren't allowed to reply will still be able to view, retweet with comment, and like these conversations.
